Semester Reflection

Image
1. What do you wish you had known at the start of the semester? I wish I had known that this class wasn’t as stressful. 2.If one of your friends was considering enrolling in this section of FS 102, what advice would you give them? I would tell them not to worry or stress because the class and the professor it’s very understandable. 3.What do you think you will take with you from this course into your remaining years in college and beyond? I’ll take the part of succeeding by mistake, I'll be doing what I want to do without being afraid of failing. 4.What was most valuable/useful to you in this course? What was least useful? The most valuable thing to me in this course was the writings, because it helped me a lot with my writing and also the feedback from the professor. 5.What else would you like Professor Weir to know about your experience in FS 102 this semester? I would like the professor to know that I am very thankful for caring about her students and for the hard work that prof...

Renne and I are putting together each other's information, and now all we have to do is the recording to be able to be done with the project.  https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/55ccae5fe4b00ee28e99068f/1451538310477-ZUPI9ZDSQQNAVHD17WLW/image-asset.png?format=750w

Final Project Update 1

Image
So far with my project I've been reading a lot of articles to get as much information as I can and Renee and I also decided to do some recording audio instead of a presentation due to our schedule. I also am halfway done with the information I need for the writing and it's almost ready to be written. https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/481166694899937282/7EWz5k1t_400x400.jpeg

Final Project-Outline

Growth Mindset what it is - Jacy Fixed mindset Renee Professor Dweck stated,  “ People with fixed mindsets believe that abilities, talents and traits, like intelligence, are permanent, whereas those with growth mindsets believe these can be developed” (whatever the citation is for the link below).  How to determine if an individual has this mindset? How can an individual change their mindset into one that would be considered a growth mindset?   https://www.apa.org/international/pi/2015/03/transforming-mindset#:~:text=People%20with%20fixed%20mindsets%20believe,are%20less%20discouraged%20by%20setbacks .  Fun lil transition sentence  Sports – Jacy Example 1- Michael Jordan’s quote: “ I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Example 2- https://youtu.be/Q_EyPX3CD-g ...

Final Project Brainstorm

Image
In this project I would like to talk about success and Failure themes and I would like to include severe artists that I've read about and speak about in class for example Daddy Yankee, Oprah Winfrey, etc… I also would like the audience to take it in a positive way and think about how failure is part of life.  I'm also thinking of writing it in MLA format and splitting it in a couple paragraphs. I am not sure yet about the rest of the details but this is kind of the idea I have for the Final Project. https://edtechmethods.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Final-project-2020-2000x1200.jpg

Writing 2 Final

W hile I was doing research to find a topic to talk about I found a very different and unique \ case that I thought was interesting. This is the interesting story about Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez (Daddy Yankee). I think a lot of people know him because of his famous song called “Gasolina” which was his international hit single. Many people only know that he is a big artist but; how did he achieve his goals, was it easy, did he ever experience any failures or everything was easy. On February 3rd, 1977, Daddy Yankee was born. He is a former actor, singer, composer, rapper, and native of Puerto Rico. The "King of Reggaeton" is Ramon, according to both music reviewers and followers. In the Villa Kennedy Housing Projects community of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee was born and reared. Because he liked baseball so much when he was little, he always had the dream of becoming a professional player. His Big League Baseball tryout was with the Seattle Mariners. However, whi...
